We are both. We are an executive staffing agency that has its own career board. The President of the company, Mike Toohey did not want to be like everyother Staffing Agency and name the company after himself. He thought ahead and believed that by naming the company CareersInConnecticut.com would attrack more people to the site than naming it his name. As well he did not want to just create a job board that posts positions and that now have terrible reputations as just job lists that employers never get back to candidates that apply.
Many candidates find our positions for our clients by just typing Careers In CT in search engines. Thus, we pass the savings on to our clients.
Let's face it, when people search for jobs...they are not going to search on a owner's name of a recruiting company to find a job. They are going to search for Careers In Connecticut! Right? Right?
Plus, Mike has an ego but not a huge ego to name the company after himself. That is not good business...especially in the recruiting industry...Times are a changin'.
