Questions from Candidates and Clients:

What type of positions do you work on?

CareersInCT.com and ContractStaffingRecruiters.com works on all types of positions ranging in salary from 20K to 300K for our clients companies in Connecticut. We also work with clients in New York, Massachusetts as well as Rhode Island.(Usually companies that are on the border of Connecticut or who have other offices in surrounding states).

Should I wait to see a position listed in order to send my resume to your company?
We would say no, for quite often we fill our clients position(s) without ever posting the position on boards and/or the newspaper and even on our web site. We search our database first for the right candidates as well as recruit out of our client competitors. Job boards and newspapers are starting to become a waste land for resumes.

When should I look for a job?

You should always be on the look out for another position. The people that find their "dream job" are often the ones that are very happy in their current job. It is harder to place you in a position if you are not working.

Most of the people that CareersInCT.com and ContractStaffingRecruiters.com places in positions are very happy in their current position until they hear from us about an outstanding opportunity.

Think of finding a career as dating. Usually, if you are not dating anyone or seeing anyone it is harder for you to find someone to get that date. However, once you start seeing someone or dating, it is amazing how many other opportunities arise from other prospects.

The point is that you have to make yourself attractive to employers. If you are not working, you look unattractive to prospective employers. Why should they hire you if no one else wants you, etc. Plus, some companies might string you along for you have nothing else anyway. Why should they hire you, etc.

Always be on the lookout for a better opportunity to further your career. Look at the executive level, they are always moving to improve their pay as well as do more exciting work.

Your career is up to you. NO ONE ELSE. Do not blame anyone but yourself for the situation you are in!

What type of companies do you fill positions for in Connecticut?

We work with companies from the mom and pop company to the Fortune 100 company. We work with the plush corporate companies to the manufacturing environment.

CareersInCT.com and ContracStaffingRecruiters.com's staff prides itself on being diverse and being able to fill any position that our clients need to be filled.

Why did you name your company Careers In Connecticut?

We liked the name for that is what we do. We find people careers in Connecticut. Plus, if we named the company after our name or initials, we would be like every other search/recruiting firm. There are too many firms that name themselves after their owner, etc. We have egos, but not that big of ones. Plus, many times people(candidates) and clients find our company by just typing in Careers or Connecticut in Google. This would never happen if our name were something other than Careers In Connecticut.
